ASSOCIATIONS
American Art Therapist Association(AATA)
The AATA is an organization of professionals dedicated to the belief that the creative process involved in art
making is healing and life enhancing. Its mission is to serve its members and the general public by providing
standards of professional competence, and developing and promoting knowledge in, and of, the field of art
therapy.
British Association of Art Therapist (BAAT)
The British Association of Art Therapists is the professional organisation for art therapists in the
United Kingdom and has its own Code of Ethics of Professional Practice.
Art Therapy Credential Board
Its mission is to serve standars of professional competences, and developing, and promoting knowledge in,
and of, the field of art therapy.
American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA)
ADTA is the only organization solely dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the profession of dance/movement therapy
American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
The mission of the American Music Therapy Association is to advance
public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access
to quality music therapy services in a rapidly changing world.
The American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP)
was founded in 1942 by J. L. Moreno, MD (1889-1974). It is the pioneer membership organization in group psychotherapy and continues
to be a source and inspiration for ongoing developments in group psychotherapy, psychodrama, and sociometry.
